  • WELCOME K12 SCHOOL MEDIA SPECIALISTS!

Illinois launched its new 24/7/365 virtual reference service in April 2006. So far, 250 public, academic, and special libraries have joined the project to offer live chat and email answering services to Illinois library patrons.

This fall we are offering K – 12 librarians a free trial from Aug. 15 – Dec. 15 to be sure school children have access to information they need, especially when school media centers are closed for the day. Ask?AwayIllinois Virtual Reference is available 24/7/365 – whenever students are ready to ask questions, anywhere they have Internet access.

Contact Deb Aggertt for sign up information for the free trial.
