Illinois has negotiated an excellent price for OCLC QP 24/7 services for the entire state.
This is a three year project with costs for each participant.
Illinois has two queue's in place - 1 public and 1 academic. (schools would be considered under the
public queue). Paying a fee based on your population/student enrollment or FTE will allow
your library to participate in the statewide program including access to one of the standard queues.
The ISL will provide scheduling and administration duties for the two above queues.

The success of this project relies on the involvement of each participant.  Participating libraries
may choose from some of the following options to fulfill their staffing requirements:
live chat, email responses, subject experts, quality control, serving on VR sub-committees and
other VR needs.

Clarification:  A queue may be purchased by an individual library, system, groups or special libraries
in addition to the individual library fee to provide a more customized service to those library patrons.
A separate queue means that patron's questions will be routed locally to their own library
consortium.  Each queue will have an adminstrator for scheduling and administration duties.
